Academics
Concepts and skills ahead of content
Our academic programme develops young minds to think in a rounded manner, placing concepts and skills ahead of content, through critical thinking and reflection.
Curriculum
A wide, competency-based programme
Kibuli follows the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) syllabi for both Ordinary and Advanced Level, and is implementing the competency-based Lower Secondary Curriculum. English is the medium of instruction in all classes.
Islam is at the centre of daily life, in and out of class. The school offers a wide range of subjects at both O’ and A’ Level, with arts and science combinations at Advanced Level.
Kibuli Secondary School has an excellent record in students’ performance across curricular and co-curricular activities.
What we set out to do
As a Muslim-founded institution, Kibuli provides an enabling environment for learning, promotes Islamic ethos, and inspires Muslim boys and girls to take up leadership positions.
It guides students to develop self-discipline, integrity and tolerance, and contributes to building a cohesive Muslim Ummah.

Books are treasures to look for
Good books are the lighthouses that enlighten our families, school and society. They soothe the spirit, educate the heart, improve character, explore unknown lands, and lead us to wisdom, piety and delight.
Reading is given a lot of attention. Learners at all class levels are taught the basic reading skills they must exhibit during reading sessions, and the school organises reading competitions at least twice every year to track fluency and reading habits.
The school has two magnificent libraries, run by competent, well-trained full-time librarians, with a qualified teacher heading the library department.
